Chris L. Cox President and CEO, elected to the board of the Child Care Association of Illinois.
The Child Care Association of Illinois (CCAI) is the premier state association that builds public support for addressing the needs of children and families. Established in 1964, the CCAI is dedicated to improving the delivery of social services to the abused, neglected, and troubled children, youth and families of Illinois.
“CCAI is honored that Chris Cox agreed to serve in such an important leadership role during a time of great challenge and opportunity for the children’s services sector.” commented Margaret Berglind, President/CEO of the association. “Hoyleton Ministries is a vital contributor to CCAI’s overall work and in electing Mr. Cox to our board, his colleagues demonstrated they also value the participation of the agency and Chris.”
Cox joined Hoyleton in 1989. In his 26 years of service to the agency he has filled the role of Chief Operating Officer, Vice President of Programs, Director of Residential Services, therapist, teacher, and direct care worker. In 2010 he was named President and CEO.
“I am honored to be part of such a highly regarded association”, stated Chris Cox. “I look forward to the opportunity to help shape practices and policies in the State of Illinois for the benefit of children, adolescents, the families, and the organizations that serve them.
Under Cox’s leadership, the Hoyleton model is transforming from institutional residential provider to a full spectrum of community based health, youth, and family services.
