Hoyleton Youth and Family Services offers a comprehensive range of community support services designed to empower individuals and families across Southern Illinois. Programs include counseling, immigrant family assistance, and interpretation services through Puentes de Esperanza, which supports the Latinx community in accessing public benefits and navigating legal and healthcare systems . Additionally, Hoyleton provides mental health support, crisis response, case management, parenting support and educational services tailored to diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals, trauma survivors, and youth with serious emotional disturbances.

Hoyleton Youth and Family Services supports over 6,000 children and families annually by providing holistic trauma-informed care in the following areas: behavioral health services, foster care, transitional living programs, prevention programs, and community outreach. Guided by a relationship-centered Care Model, Hoyleton helps youth heal from trauma, rebuild family connections, and achieve long-term stability. Specialized programs, including bilingual services through Puentes de Esperanza, ensure inclusive, culturally responsive support for diverse communities.

Our comprehensive, principle-based program model provides a framework to keep relationships at the center of everything we do. The CARE model, with roots at Cornell University, aims to bring our current practices closer to well-researched best practices in residential, foster, and clinical care. This model allows us to adhere to processes that create congruence across the agency and keeps our focus on what is in the best interest of the child.

They need stability, compassion, and a caring adult to guide them through uncertain times.

Safe and supportive environment for youth who are unable to live at home due to complex circumstances. 

Hoyleton Youth and Family Services offers therapeutic residential programs tailored to youth facing emotional, behavioral, or developmental challenges. Located across two sites—the Hoyleton Campus and the Schippel House—these programs offer structured, trauma-informed care in safe and supportive environments. Specialized services include support for youth on the autism spectrum and transitional care for young adults with developmental delays. Each program is designed to foster healing, growth, and long-term stability.
