We believe in the power of community – a power that comes from not only our staff, but also from those who volunteer at Hoyleton. Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community while also indulging in one of life’s greatest pleasures – helping those in need.

The volunteer program at Hoyleton is designed to enhance the programs and services of our Ministry, while at the same time carrying through our mission of enabling all people, young and old alike, to realize the wholeness of life that God intends.

To support this mission, we have four main goals:

  • To educate the community about Hoyleton Youth and Family Services and establish broader community involvement
  • To provide support to our staff
  • To provide more services to our clients
  • To stretch Hoyleton’s limited resources

Our volunteer positions are tailored both to the interest and skills of the individual, as well as to the specific needs of the clients.

Volunteering Opportunities

Handy Helpers: Our Handy Helpers assist our staff in the offices. These duties may include typing, filing answering phones, copying, writing, word processing, and other computer-related needs.

Many Hands (Work Groups / Mission Groups): Our Many Hands volunteers are often local churches and/or community organizations that perform service projects to benefit Hoyleton. We always need volunteers who are motivated and self-directed to help in our maintenance department – particularly, in the areas of carpentry, painting, bike repair, and gardening.

Special Events: Special events are fun and exciting ways to get involved with Hoyleton Youth and Family Services. Special events include: The Annual Awards Banquet & Auction and Hoyleton’s Golf Classic.
