Why support Hoyleton?
We support over 2,000 individuals and families each year in Southern Illinois. While we receive funding from various government sources to support our work, it doesn’t cover many of the expenses required to give special assistance or even little holiday surprises to the youth and family we serve.
Here are just some of the things donor gifts help fund:
• Holiday gifts for foster care children
• Extracurricular activity fees for youth
• Transportation costs for foster parents
• Emergency assistance for foster families is crisis
• Clothing, personal hygiene items, and safe shelter for a trafficking survivor

Major Gifts
Major gifts are identified at $1,000 or more. For major gift inquiries, an exploratory visit with the donor is appreciated so that the proper opportunity can be explored and meet the desires of both the donor and the organization.

Memorials & Tributes
A gift in memory in honor of a loved one has become an expression of thoughtfulness to many. These types of gifts, in any amount, are appropriate ways to recognize someone’s life, a relative or friends’ birthday, anniversary, or other special occasion. A notification is sent to the recipient or in the case of a memorial, to the immediate family, as well as the donor. Memorials/Tributes will be recognized in the Annual Report.

Planned Giving (Legacy Program)
Long-range estate and financial planning allows donors to make a difference in the lives of others and assist in fulfilling their personal financial goals. Individuals leaving a planned gift are building a lasting legacy for the next generation.

Annual Mail Campaigns
Throughout the year we offer three mail campaigns to support our youth during special times within their lives.
These mail campaigns include:
• Spring Appeal (Easter)
• Back to School Drive (August)
• Year-end Campaign (Holiday Season)
Please look out for these mailings via standard mail and email to support our youth as they encounter graduation, back to school time, and the holiday season.

Third Party Fundraising Events
Plan an event through a club, group or business to support Hoyleton. Contact us to learn what immediate needs exist to guide a fundraising event.
Amazon Shopping
AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon with the same products, prices, and shopping features as Amazon.com. The difference is that when shopping on AmazonSmile, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products to the charitable organization of a donor’s choosing.
When visiting the site, type in “Hoyleton Youth and Family Services” as the charitable organization to support. Any donation from your eligible Amazon purchases will be sent directly to us.
